Top 10: Highest Individual Scores in WPL

The women’s version of the Indian T20 premier league started in 2023 with 5 teams, and it immediately garnered a lot of attention thanks to the action on the field. The strong Mumbai Indians team became the inaugural victors of the WPL and entered the second season that is currently underway as the defending champions.

Any T20 league, be it a men’s or women’s tournament, will be successful if there is a great balance between bat and ball. The WPL seems to have aced it in the first season, and part of the reason is the individual performances of the batters who lit up games with their batting.

So here are the top 10 highest individual scores in the WPL thus far.

Key Insights

99 is the highest score posted by a batter in the WPL, and it was done by New Zealand opener Sophie Devine, who represents Royal Challengers Bangalore. She hit a whopping 8 sixes in her thunderous knock of 99 in just 36 balls against the Gujarat Giants at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium.

While a century is yet to be recorded in the WPL, there have been 7 times a player has accumulated 75 or more runs in an innings, and Delhi’s Shafali Varma is the only player to do it twice.
