Key Insights
Between 2021 and 2023, India has only lost one Test series in South Africa in 2022. The Indian team had started the series by winning the first Test match, however, their efforts to keep the African side in check didn’t work, resulting in a series loss. This turned out to be Virat Kohli’s last Test series as captain. (You can check out Kohli’s Test captaincy record here.)
During the same period, India beat England by 3-1 after losing the first match in Chennai. After a few months, the Indian side gave the hosts a run for their money in their backyard, but the series ended in a draw (2-2).
When India toured Bangladesh in December 2022, they ed their 5th Test series win in the neighbouring country. So far, the Men in Blue haven’t lost a series in Bangladesh.
