Sachin Tendulkar has scored the most runs for India in England in Test cricket. He aggregated 1575 runs in 30 innings at an average of 54.31.

Rahul Dravid (1376), Sunil Gavaskar (1152), and Virat Kohli (1096) are the only other batters with 1000-plus Test runs in England.

Dravid, who is second on the list, has smashed the most Test centuries for India on English soil. The right-hander scored six hundreds – three in 2002 and the other three in 2011.

Dravid’s average of 68.80 is also the highest for an Indian batter in England in Tests (minimum 200 runs). Sourav Ganguly (65.35) and Tendulkar are the other batters with a 50-plus average. 

Tendulkar has smashed the most Test fifty-plus scores among Indians in England. The Master Blaster scored 12 fifty-plus knocks. Dravid, Gavaskar, and Gundappa Viswanath follow him with 10 fifty-plus scores each.

MS Dhoni has scored the most fifties (8), but without a hundred. His highest score of 92 came in the drawn 2007 Oval Test.

Gavaskar and Dravid converted one of their centuries each into double tons. They are the only Indian double centurions in England, with Gavaskar’s 221 being the highest. Gavaskar’s knock came at The Oval in 1979. Exactly 23 years later, Dravid scored 217 at the same venue!

Dravid has scored the most runs for an Indian batter in a Test series in England. He accrued 602 runs in six innings at an average of 100.33 in the 2002 series against England. Dravid’s three centuries each in 2002 and 2011 are also the most by an Indian in a Test series in England.
